How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration weishaupt_modbus (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
The heat pump is connected through the HACS integration weishaupt_modbus. Newer WBB units have Modbus TCP over Ethernet built in (enable it in the device menu); the older WWP-LS series additionally needs the serial LWPM-410 module. Note: enabling Modbus may disable the WEM portal; using both routes in parallel isn't confirmed reliable based on reports so far.
Requirements
- Modbus TCP enabled in the device menu (WBB) or LWPM-410 module installed (WWP LS)
