How it connects
Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration vicare. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
The heat pump is connected through two channels: the SG-Ready interface (terminals X3/X4 on the indoor unit) reliably handles the actual control via two potential-free contacts. In addition, the vicare integration (Home Assistant Core, Viessmann cloud account via OAuth) supplies readings plus hot water boost and heating curve offset.
Requirements
- SG-Ready terminals X3/X4 on the indoor unit wired to the Franzl Gateway
- For readings/extra functions: a ViCare developer account + OAuth client (developer.viessmann-climatesolutions.com)
