This device is integrated read-only: Franzl shows its measurements and includes them in the optimization, but does not actively control it.
How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration Vip0r/varta_storage (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
The connection runs through the HACS integration varta_storage (Vip0r): locally via Modbus TCP (port 502) and a CGI/XML interface on the battery, with no cloud involved. Currently read-only: state of charge as well as grid and battery power.
