How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration toshiba_ac (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
The connection runs through the HACS integration toshiba_ac with your Toshiba cloud account, provided your unit runs on the EU app "Toshiba AC" or "Home AC Control". Devices on the North American app are not supported.
Requirements
- A Toshiba cloud account (EU app "Toshiba AC" / "Home AC Control")
- The Toshiba cloud rate-limits requests: avoid frequent Home Assistant restarts, and wait 1–2 hours after connection errors instead of retrying immediately
