How it connects

Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration mqtt. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

The connection runs locally over MQTT: the WARP firmware ships with built-in Home Assistant auto-discovery; once it's enabled, the entities appear on their own, with no manual configuration.

Requirements

An MQTT broker on the network (e.g. the Mosquitto add-on)
Enable auto-discovery in the WARP web interface
WARP firmware ≥ 2.1.1
Disable WARP's own PV surplus charging (Energy Manager) so it doesn't fight Franzl's control
