How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration systemair (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
The connection runs through a Modbus HACS integration for the SAVE series (e.g. systemair by tesharp via SAVE Connect 2, or alternatives via a Modbus TCP gateway): fan speed and operating presets (including manual, crowded, refresh, fireplace, away, holiday) run through the device's climate entity, not a dedicated ventilation entity.
