How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration sungrow_shx_inverter (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

The connection runs through the HACS integration sungrow-inverter: it speaks Modbus TCP (port 502) via the WiNet-S Wi-Fi/LAN dongle on your inverter, with no cloud involved.

Requirements

WiNet-S dongle reachable on the network (Modbus TCP, port 502)
A LAN cable on the dongle runs more stably than Wi-Fi; over Wi-Fi the integration needs more timing tolerance
