How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration tuya_local (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Connected locally via the HACS integration tuya_local with the matching device configuration "Steinbach Solid 4.3" or "Silent Mini": it exposes on/off and the target temperature as a climate entity (no Boost/Eco presets).
Requirements
- For the local connection you need a Tuya IoT Developer account to read out your device's Local Key
- Setup may vary depending on the Wi-Fi module model year, check during setup
- An additional switching meter is recommended for consumption readings
