How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration weltmeyer/ha_sonnenbatterie (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Reading works right away. For active control, enter the device's IP address once in the Franzl app (“Make controllable” in the device detail).

Setup

In the sonnen dashboard, activate both the Read API and the Write API under Software Integration. Copy the auth token.

Prerequisites

Firmware supports API v2 (eco 8+, evo, 10, 10 performance)
Read API AND Write API both activated in the dashboard
