How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration smaev (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

The wallbox is connected locally via the HACS integration smaev. It's controlled primarily via the charging mode (Solar/Boost/Stop); the charging current is a device value that is deliberately not adjusted on a second-by-second basis.

Requirements

Control requires an installer/admin account on the wallbox; the control entities are disabled by default and must first be unlocked
Disable "Disconnect after full charge" in the wallbox settings
The wallbox must not be controlled by the Sunny Home Manager at the same time (double control)
