How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration solax_modbus (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connected via the HACS custom integration solax_modbus (the HYB-G3 is a rebranded Solax X3 Hybrid G4) over Modbus TCP/RS485, no cloud needed. Does NOT apply to the newer "Q.HOME Core" (Hanwha's own in-house design, with no official API).

Requirements

Wi-Fi stick firmware version 04.03 or later
Modbus only allows one master at a time; if another tool (e.g. evcc) is already running on the device, a collision can occur
