How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration openwb2mqtt (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connected via the HACS custom integration openwb2mqtt, which links the openWB Series 2 into Home Assistant via MQTT, no cloud needed. With multiple charge points, each charge point is managed as its own device.

openWB system software version 2.1.8 or later
