How it connects
Franzl connects to the device directly and locally: via its IP address in your home network, no cloud detour.
Setup
Connected without a dedicated Home Assistant integration via the generic Modbus connection. Controlled preferably via the SG-Ready relay on the device (available on all models with an OTS controller); the controller can additionally be read out via Modbus TCP.
Requirements
- SG-Ready relay wired to the device (check the exact terminal labeling on your unit)
- Write access via Modbus requires activation by Ochsner customer service during commissioning
