How it connects

Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration nibe_heatpump. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connected via the Home Assistant integration nibe_heatpump over Modbus RTU. Controlled via SG-Ready operating modes (Block/Normal/Recommendation/Forced start) as well as setpoint shift and hot-water boost.

Requirements

Nibe's optional MODBUS 40 accessory module (paid hardware, RS485 connection on the device); alternatively an ESPHome NibeGw bridge that emulates the module over UDP
