How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration midea_ac_lan (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Connection via the HACS integration midea_ac_lan: the air conditioner is then controlled via a local LAN protocol, but has to be onboarded once via a Midea cloud account.
Requirements
- Midea cloud account (NetHome Plus) for the one-time device onboarding
- A static IP address for the device is recommended
- After onboarding, back up the device (described in the integration docs)
