How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration marstek_modbus (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connection via the HACS custom integration marstek_modbus: talks to the battery locally over Modbus.

Requirements

Venus E v2: additional RS485-to-TCP dongle needed (e.g. Elfin EW11)
Venus v3/A/D: native Ethernet Modbus already built in (WiFi Modbus doesn't work on v3)
