How it connects
Franzl connects to the device directly and locally: via its IP address in your home network, no cloud detour.
Setup
Connection via an RS485-to-TCP gateway (e.g. Waveshare) plus Modbus configuration in Home Assistant (core modbus YAML or a community package), which makes the heat pump's built-in Modbus RTU interface reachable.
Requirements
- RS485-to-TCP gateway connected to the built-in Modbus interface (terminal block 2)
- The CN_MODBUS connector can't be used at the same time as an LG meter module
