This device is integrated read-only: Franzl shows its measurements and includes them in the optimization, but does not actively control it.

How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration lg_ess (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connection via the HACS custom integration lg_ess: talks to your battery's local REST interface. Read-only: Franzl can only read this battery, not control it.

Requirements

Add the lg_ess custom repository in HACS (not in the standard HACS catalog)
The login password is the device's MAC address, lowercase and without colons
