How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration huawei_solar (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Connection via the HACS custom integration huawei_solar: talks to the inverter over Modbus TCP via the SDongleA-05 LAN dongle.

Requirements

SDongleA-05 LAN dongle connected to the inverter
Battery operating mode set to "Time-of-use" or "Maximum self consumption". With "Fully fed to grid", Franzl cannot control the battery; the installer changes this setting once
