How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration laszlojakab/homeassistant-easycontrols (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Franzl connects your ventilation unit locally via the HACS custom integration easycontrols over Modbus TCP.
Requirements
- Only easyControls 2.x is supported: easyControls 3.0 no longer has Modbus TCP (WebSocket only) and does not work
- Enable Modbus on the device
- Set the minimum fan level on the device to 0
