How it connects
Franzl connects to the device directly and locally: via its IP address in your home network, no cloud detour.
Setup
The Energy Control is connected via Modbus TCP (e.g. via a Modbus RTU-to-TCP gateway on the RS485 bus). The wallbox expects a cyclic keep-alive (watchdog); the Franzl Gateway handles that automatically.
Prerequisites
- RS485 connected to a Modbus TCP gateway
- Bus termination and slave address configured via DIP switches
