How it connects

Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration goodwe. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Franzl connects your inverter locally: either via the Home Assistant integration goodwe (measurements only) or, for full control (charge/discharge mode, backup power, export limit), via the HACS custom integration goodwe by mletenay, which builds on the same local connection.

Requirements

By default, the connection runs over UDP via the included WiFi dongle
For Modbus TCP you need ARM firmware ≥ 13 and either the LAN module WLA0000-01-00P V2 or a wired LAN connection, since the standard WiFi dongle blocks Modbus TCP
