How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration foxess_modbus (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

Franzl connects your inverter locally via the HACS custom integration foxess_modbus (Modbus). This also covers the rebrands Enpal and 1KOMMA5°.

Requirements

For full control (charge mode, min/max SoC, force charge/discharge) you need a connection via RS485/USB or the W610 LAN adapter on the inverter's RS485 port. On the H1 (G1), the regular LAN port only supports reading, not writing
The FoxESS cloud API is not used
