How it connects
Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration mqtt. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Connection via a BBQKees gateway on your heat pump's EMS bus terminals, which reports readings to Home Assistant via EMS-ESP and MQTT discovery. The devices then appear automatically in the Franzl Gateway.
Prerequisites
- BBQKees gateway connected to the heat pump's EMS bus terminals
- EMS-ESP with MQTT discovery set up in Home Assistant (Settings → Devices & Services)
- For the WLW196i, check during initial setup that your model is detected correctly
