How it connects
Franzl reads this device through the Home Assistant integration mqtt. If your device is already set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Bosch doesn't offer a usable cloud control option for this device. The connection runs through SG-Ready relay contacts on the controller (grid-friendly operating modes); for detailed readings and additional control functions, an ems-esp gateway can optionally be added to the unit (connected via MQTT in that case).
Prerequisites
- Configure the SG-Ready inputs in the heat pump's installer menu and check them during commissioning
- Optional (for readings/additional control): an ems-esp gateway, connected to the unit by an installer, plus an MQTT broker and the MQTT integration in Home Assistant
