How it connects

Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration alphaess (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.

Setup

The connection runs through the official AlphaESS cloud (integration alphaess) using your AlphaESS account. Control is time-window based (charge/discharge schedule, limits) rather than a direct power setpoint.

Prerequisites

AppID and AppSecret from the AlphaESS developer portal
Your inverter registered in the portal by serial number and check code
