How it connects
Franzl uses the Home Assistant custom integration luxtronik2 (installable via HACS). If your device is set up there, Franzl finds it automatically.
Setup
Readings, operating modes, and the hot water setpoint are read and controlled locally through the Luxtronik controller (luxtronik2 integration, directly over the network). Grid-friendly SG-Ready operating modes don't run through this integration. They use two relay contacts on the controller instead.
Prerequisites
- The Luxtronik controller must be reachable on the network (port 8889, or 8888 on older firmware)
- For SG-Ready: a 2-channel relay (e.g. Shelly Pro 2) wired to the controller's SG-Ready terminals and set up as a switch in Home Assistant
